So, I know that I failed miserably at keeping the blogs going after leaving Korea! But, I've just started the second half of my trip in a new part of the world and am going to give it another go with a new site!
So, where have I been....
I spent the last 3 1/2 months making my way through Europe...From Ireland to Italy,
where I gazed at natural beauty like this....
Strolled through cities like this...
Ate food like this...
And drank beer like this...
It was then off to meet my good friend Leah in Athens, Greece. We quickly moved on to the island of Ios to "work" for a month, and live in this house...
Spend our days on this beach...
Watching sunsets like this...
and making these friends...
A month was more time than anyone should ever spend on that island, and so it was time for us to move on to new territory...Turkey! We spent two weeks making our way through one of the most under rated countries in the world! The food, the people, the sights, the beautiful coastline...we were in love!
Its not hard to see why...
(The Turquoise Coast)
(Pammukale)
(Capadoccia)
(The Blue Mosque, Istanbul)
I then boarded a non-stop flight from Istanbul to Cairo where I embarked on a 10 whirlwind tour of Egypt...fitting in all the must sees along the way!
Like the Great Pyramids of Giza...
Which I rode in front of, through the desert, on a camel!
We made a quick stop in Aswan, to stand in awe of this ancient Temple.
(Abu Simbel)
Before boarding a Felucca Boat, for a 2 day trip up the Nile!
(Which as no bathroom I might add)
We wrapped up the trip on the Sinai Peninsula. Where I spent a day snorkeling the Red Sea with this amazing group of people!
Our last day was spent Trekking up Mt. Sinai through the middle of the night to make it to the top just in time to see this amazing sunrise over the Sinai Peninsula!
A perfect way to end an incredible ten days in one of the most awe-striking places in the world!
So...I guess that brings everyone up to speed! I am just about half-way through my trip and have only just begun the second part of the adventure...Southeast Asia! This leg of the trip should be a little slower pace, so I am hoping to do a much better job at keeping up with the posts! I have only been in this part of the world for a week and I'm already loving it!!!
